A 32 hour course
designed to train inexperienced, potential underground miners in areas
including; statutory rights of miners, self rescue and respiratory
devices, transportation and communication, mining methods, barricading and
emergency evacuation and fire prevention and fighting, roof or ground
control and ventilation plans, health, cleanup and rock dusting, hazard
recognition including welding, electrical hazards, first aid, mine gases,
hazcom programs and msds’s

UCAT will not conduct site specific training unless the operator
provides the information and requests UCAT presents it. Instructors
are available to work with mine operators to conduct mine site
training including; Entering and leaving the mine; transportation
and communication, introduction to the work environment, mine map;
escapeways; emergency evacuation; barricading, hazcom program and
msds’s
